Lamin-Art offers accredited CEU course on biophilic design.
SCHAUMBURG, IL 09/09/13 — We are pleased to let you know that our newest continuing education course on the benefits of designing with nature has now been accredited by IDCEC, AIA and GBCI. Attendees will earn 1.0 intermediate level health, safety, and welfare (HSW) credit per certification.
The program, which is an in-depth, quantitative research study by Terrapin Bright Green, demonstrates the benefits of a design strategy known as biophilic design, or the incorporation of nature into interior design concepts.
Biophilic design addresses humans’ innate attraction to other living organisms, and has long been recognized by both scientific and design communities. Benefits include shortened hospital stays, increased retail sales, lower productivity costs, enhanced physiological wellbeing, and more.
Scientist Edward O. Wilson put it eloquently when he said, “Life around us exceeds in complexity and beauty anything else humanity is ever likely to encounter.”
As we begin presenting, we invite you to check with your local representative to see if the course is available in your area.
