Introducing the expanded Veneer-Art line

(SCHAUMBURG, IL) – October 2009  For over 25 years, Veneer-Art® High-Performance Wood Veneer by Lamin-Art® has combined the natural beauty and classic richness of real, hand-selected wood with the superior durability of high-pressure laminate. This October, Lamin-Art introduces the next generation of Veneer-Art: a contemporary collection of 18 species and colorations ranging from the traditional Cherry, Maple, and Oak to the more exotic Zebrawood, Bubinga, and Makore.

Veneer-Art is the only pre-finished veneer made from real-not reconstituted-wood.    Each leaf in a panel of Veneer-Art is sliced, dyed, and matched to showcase the wood's distinctive grain structure, make specification simple, and provide a consistent appearance even over large areas. Lamin-Art's unique production process preserves the texture of the veneer, while the exclusive Tru-GrainTM finish provides unmatched durability and stain resistance. That makes Veneer-Art suitable for both vertical and horizontal high-wear applications including desktops, transaction counters, wainscoting, architectural doors, and elevator cabs; as well as all types of furniture, fixtures, and cabinetry.

;Manufactured in the same manner as HPL, Veneer-Art not only boasts the same performance characteristics, but it is also just as easy to install. With its phenolic backing, Veneer-Art can be machined with the same tools, applied to the same substrates, and bonded with the same adhesives typically used with laminates. And because it is pre-finished, no harmful VOCs are released in the shop or at the installation site. Due to its low permeability, Veneer-Art can also act as a barrier against possible formaldehyde emissions from the substrate.

Veneer-Art is available in 4' X 10' sheets, but more sheet sizes, including door sizes, are available upon request.  Coordinating edgebanding is also offered for all Veneer-Art items. For more information, or to request samples of Veneer-Art, visit
