The Surface Transformed

SCHAUMBURG, IL (March 2007) – As the early Alchemists sought to turn common lead into precious gold and silver, Lamin-Art's latest innovation transforms common HPL into a versatile, durable, and eye-catching decorative surface with a glamorous luster. Catalyst features a spiral-etched dimensional finish that creates a brilliance and texture reminiscent of that of brushed metal. Unlike real metallic surfaces, however, Catalyst boasts the scratch and dent resistance properties of high pressure decorative laminate, making the surface virtually maintenance-free.  Catalyst's broad metallic color palette is suitable for a wide variety of commercial design concepts.

Urban achromatic Obsidian black, Alabaster white and grays like Titanium, Mercury and Anthracite compliment a sleek, contemporary interior. Aristocratic Topaz, Pyrite and Cinnabar present a classic look with an ethnic twist, while soothing brownish and khaki tints such as Cadmium and Olivine reflect a peaceful balance between architecture and the environment.

Catalyst meets NEMA standards for abrasion and scratch resistance, making it suitable for use on both horizontal and vertical surfaces requiring high visual impact and enhanced durability. In addition, Catalyst lays-up and fabricates the very same way as any other high-pressure decorative laminate, and won't wear tools or saw blades. All ten items in the collection are stocked in both Standard and Vertical Grades, in 4' X 10' sheets.
