Minimizing the impact of our trade show booth
Our new trade show exhibit was built using eco-friendly and recycled materials

Trade show booths are like the selfish models of the design industry. They only come out of their trailers when it is time to show off, and they use up expensive and valuable resources so that they can be seen in mint condition only a few times per year.
We, at Lamin-Art, are concerned about wasting those valuable resources, and, with some outside help, we were able to make our portion of the design industry’s expo schedule a little more eco-friendly. Production Plus Technologies and Outhouse Design helped us to enact our vision of creating a green trade show booth that we can use for years to come.
Our booth, which we debuted at Global Shop 2008 in Chicago, utilizes recyclable aluminum and engineered wood which saves aging forests.
Furthermore, the paint used in the booth is water-based paint leftover from other projects and all signs in the display were printed using Production Plus’s eco-friendly printer (non-solvent based and UV cured ink).

The booth showcases several of our premium high-pressure decorative laminates as well as various finishes offered for our decorative surfaces, which are all GREENGUARD certified. It is also a great investment for us because it was designed to be reused, showcasing different products as we introduce them.
In addition, we selected eco-friendly modular carpet and cork flooring tile products that are manufactured from either recycled or rapidly renewable resources. By purchasing our own flooring solution, we also eliminated the waste generated by the on-going rental of rolled carpet goods.
It is essentially a brainchild of our eco-enable project and Production Plus’s very own green solutions. Our desire to be more environmentally responsible in everything we do, even in the seemingly minor matter of creating a trade show booth, met perfectly with the eco-friendly answers they offer.
