BUSINESS ETIQUETTE FOR THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL
Learn the do’s and don’ts of business etiquette and professionalism with Lamin-Art’s new accredited CEU course.
SCHAUMBURG, IL 09/12/13 — We are pleased to announce that our newest CEU course on business etiquette for the design professional has now been accredited by IDCEC and AIA. Attendees will earn 1.0 intermediate level credit per certification, while learning the do’s and don’ts of the business world.
From what not to say at cocktail parties, to establishing a personal brand, the course teaches design professionals how to “play the game” when it comes to business etiquette. Specifically, it teaches designers how to distinguish themselves and stand out at important networking functions, how to adjust professional behaviors, and the ability to collaborate with teams.
“How people interact with colleagues and clients can determine one’s success on a day-to-day basis and ultimately over the course of a career,” says Lamin-Art’s VP of Business Development Georgy Olivieri. “Over the past 50 years, time and technology has transformed the workplace, but one thing remains the same: people want to be treated as if they matter and with respect.”
The skills learned from this CEU can help people from different backgrounds, cultures, and work environments to interact with a degree of personal respect for both oneself and for others. This is especially critical considering the many generational differences in today’s workplace (Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y).
No matter how technology-driven we become as a society, there is business etiquette and protocol to follow. The CEU course provides tips on how to handle introductions, conversation, and the roles of being a host and guest, plus much more. For example, the course reveals the ideal amount of time that should be allocated for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when entertaining business clients.
As we begin presenting, we invite you to check with your local representative to see if the course is available in your area.
